01 The brief

Renovation reveals. The category standard is a wide-angle "before" shot in bad light and an "after" shot at a completely different focal length, which everyone can now see through.

02 The brainstorm

The whole genre has trained viewers to be suspicious. So the credibility came from matching, not from flattering: same lens, same position, same time of day, same grade.

Counter-intuitively we made the before shots look better than the client wanted. A fair before makes the after believable, and believable is what converts.

The transition is a straight cut on a beat, not a wipe. Wipes read as a sales technique.

03 The build

Locked tripod positions recorded at survey stage, matched grades, one hard cut per room, no music swell on the reveal.

04 The result

Comment sentiment shifted from "fake" accusations to specific questions about cost and timeline — the kind that turn into enquiries.
